In this Full Day Chinese Banquet cooking class, you will learn a variety of essential cooking techniques and skills while creating delicious dishes packed with flavour.
- Cutting, Slicing, and Chopping: Master the basics of using a Chinese cleaver to cut, slice, and chop ingredients effectively.
- Wok Cooking: Discover the art of wok cooking, including essential techniques like stir-frying, deep-frying, and steaming.
- Chinese Seasoning: Learn the fundamentals of Chinese seasoning, using ingredients like garlic, ginger, and sauces such as soy sauce and oyster sauce.
- Sauce Selection: Understand how to select and use the right sauces, such as black bean sauce and sweet and sour sauce, to enhance the flavours of your dishes.
These skills will enable you to create delicious Chinese dishes while developing a solid foundation in Chinese culinary techniques.
The class will be led by a Head Chef and Assistant Chef, and class sizes typically range from 6-12 students. All of our classes involve knife skills and our chefs can also answer other questions you may have around ingrendients or techniques. Each student has their own chopping board and prep space, but the cooking at the hob is done in pairs. We recommend you bring some tupperware for taking home any leftovers.
This class is suitable for all levels of experience, from seasoned chefs to total beginners. We are here to help you become more confident in your skills and learn new techniques to impress your family and friends.

- Jiao Zi - Delectable Chinese wheat-based dumplings filled with pork mince, Chinese chives and mushrooms marinated in a light soy and sesame-based sauce
- Vegetable Chow Mein - A quick and simple stir-fry dish consisting of egg noodles, a variety of vegetables and seasoned simply with soy sauce, sesame oil and oyster sauce
- Hunan Spicy Beef - Succulent pieces of Beef served in a spicy sauce with an assortment of vegetables
- Steamed Sea Bass with Chilli & Crushed Soybeans - Whole steamed sea bass with a delicious soybean chilli sauce
- Stir Fried Green Beans with Chilli Hoisin- Fresh green beans tossed in a chilli hoisin sauce and stir-fried to perfection

Our classes have up to 12 students with 1 Head Chef and 1 Assistant Chef, providing an intimate and personalised experience.
What is included?
We provide all the essentials - ingredients, equipment, a welcome drink, soft beverages, tea, coffee, and a delicious light lunch to keep you energized. You can savor your creation or take it home, accompanied by a glass of wine or beer for added enjoyment. Any leftovers are yours to keep. Please note the age requirement: participants must be at least 16 years old, while those under 16 must attend with an adult.
