1. Definitions
In these Terms & Conditions:
Booking means a booking made by you for a Public Class or Corporate Event.
Booking Confirmation means the written confirmation issued by School of Wok confirming
acceptance of your Booking.
Corporate Event means any private, corporate, team-building, client entertainment,
hospitality or other business booking confirmed by us.
Event Date means the date on which the Public Class or Corporate Event is scheduled to
take place.
Event Price means the total fee stated in the Booking Confirmation.
Force Majeure Event means any event beyond our reasonable control including but not
limited to acts of God, extreme weather, fire, flood, epidemic, pandemic, government
restrictions, terrorism, war, industrial disputes or failure of suppliers.
Public Class means any scheduled cooking class offered by School of Wok and available
for booking by members of the public.
Services means the classes, events, catering, demonstrations or related services provided
by School of Wok.
Terms means these Terms & Conditions.
We, Us, Our means School of Wok.
You, Your means the individual or organisation making the Booking.
2. Basis of Contract
2.1 These Terms, together with the Booking Confirmation, form the entire agreement
between you and School of Wok.
2.2 These Terms apply to both consumers and business customers.
2.3 A Booking constitutes an offer by you to purchase our Services.
2.4 A contract is formed only when we issue a Booking Confirmation.
2.5 Any descriptions, photographs, menus or promotional materials are intended as a guide
only and do not form part of the contract.
2.6 We reserve the right to refuse any Booking at our discretion.
3. Public Class Bookings
Cancellation and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule a Public Class, the following charges apply:

Bookings are only considered cancelled or rescheduled once written confirmation has been
received from School of Wok.
Transfers to another participant may be permitted at our discretion provided sufficient notice
is given.
Voucher Validity
Where a Booking is made using a gift voucher or credit voucher, the voucher must be redeemed before its expiry date.
Voucher validity may be extended for an additional period upon payment of a £15 administration fee. Any extension must be arranged with School of Wok before the voucher's expiry date. Expired vouchers cannot be extended, reactivated or redeemed.
4. Corporate Event Bookings
Cancellation
If you cancel a Corporate Event, the following charges apply:

60–31 days before the Event Date 50% of the Event Price
30 days or less before the Event Date 100% of the Event Price
Rescheduling
Corporate Events may be rescheduled subject to availability and payment of the applicable
rescheduling fee.

8–31+ days before the Event
Date £250 plus VAT
0–7 days before the Event Date £500 plus VAT
The original Event Price remains payable no later than seven (7) days before the original
Event Date.
Following payment of the applicable rescheduling fee, a credit equal to the original Event
Price less the rescheduling fee will be issued.
The credit:
must be used within twelve (12) months of the original Event Date;
may only be applied to a future Corporate Event;
is non-refundable; and
expires automatically after twelve (12) months if unused.
Additional Costs
You remain responsible for any reasonable costs already incurred by School of Wok in
preparation for the Event, including but not limited to:
ingredients;
equipment hire;
venue hire;
staffing costs;
agency fees; and
third-party supplier charges.
5. Changes and Cancellations by School of Wok
5.1 We reserve the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule a Public Class or Corporate
Event where reasonably necessary.
5.2 If we cancel a Booking for reasons within our control, we will offer either:
a full refund; or
an alternative date.
5.3 We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from cancellation or
postponement.
5.4 We may cancel a Booking where:
minimum attendance requirements are not met;
venue facilities are unsuitable;
safety concerns arise; or
a Force Majeure Event occurs.
6. Menus, Dietary Requirements and Allergies
6.1 Any dietary requirements, allergies or food intolerances must be notified to us in writing
at least 7 days before the Event Date.
6.2 Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate dietary requirements, we cannot
guarantee the absence of allergens.
6.3 Menus may be amended where ingredients become unavailable or quality standards
cannot be met.
6.4 Suitable alternatives may be substituted where necessary.
7. Health and Safety
7.1 Participants must follow all reasonable instructions given by School of Wok staff.
7.2 School of Wok reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe,
disruptive or inappropriate.
7.3 Food should be consumed within recommended food safety timeframes and stored
appropriately after the event.
8. Prices and Payment
8.1 Prices are as stated on our Website or in the Booking Confirmation.
8.2 Unless otherwise stated, all prices are exclusive of VAT where applicable.
Public Classes
8.3 Payment for Public Classes is due at the time of booking.
Corporate Events
8.4 The full Event Price must be paid in cleared funds no later than seven (7) days prior to
the Event Date unless otherwise agreed in writing. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all private Events are subject to a minimum booking of ten (10) participants.
8.5 Failure to make payment by the due date may result in cancellation of the Booking and
the applicable cancellation charges will apply.
8.6 We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at a rate of 4% per annum
above the Bank of England base rate.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 All recipes, teaching materials, course content, photographs, videos, branding and
intellectual property remain the property of School of Wok.
9.2 Materials provided during classes or events may not be reproduced, distributed or used
commercially without our prior written consent.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:
death or personal injury caused by negligence;
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
any liability which cannot lawfully be excluded.
10.2 Subject to clause 10.1, our total liability arising out of any Booking shall not exceed the
amount paid by you for the relevant Booking.
10.3 We shall not be liable for:
loss of profits;
loss of business;
loss of goodwill;
loss of opportunity; or
any indirect or consequential losses.
11. Force Majeure
11.1 We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such
failure or delay results from a Force Majeure Event.
11.2 Where a Force Majeure Event occurs, we may postpone, reschedule or cancel the
affected Booking.
12. Data Protection
12.1 We process personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation,
including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
12.2 Details of how we collect, use and protect personal data are contained within our
Privacy Policy available on our Website.
13. General
13.1 We may update these Terms from time to time.
13.2 The version of the Terms in force at the date of your Booking shall apply.
13.3 If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions
shall remain in effect.
13.4 No person other than the parties to these Terms shall have any rights under the
Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
13.5 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
13.6 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any
dispute arising from these Terms.
