In this 3-hour Dim Sum and Bao cooking class, our experienced chefs will guide you through the process of making perfect dim sum and bao from scratch. 

• Master the art of making perfect dim sum and bao: Learn the techniques and skills to create these popular Chinese delicacies from scratch.
• Learn the basics of cutting, slicing, and chopping with a Chinese cleaver: Develop precision and proficiency in handling this essential kitchen tool.
• Wrap and fold dim sum in authentic style: Discover various methods of wrapping and folding dim sum to achieve beautiful and delicious results.
• Steam with bamboo baskets in a wok: Explore the traditional technique of steaming dim sum using bamboo baskets, ensuring optimal texture and flavour.
• Understand Chinese seasoning and sauce selection: Learn the fundamentals of Chinese flavour profiles and how to choose and use the right sauces to enhance your dim sum and bao dishes.

These skills will enable you to create delicious Chinese dishes while developing a solid foundation in Chinese culinary techniques.

The class will be led by a Head Chef and Assistant Chef, and class sizes typically range from 6-12 students. All of our classes involve knife skills and our chefs can also answer other questions you may have around ingrendients or techniques. Each student has their own chopping board and prep space, but the cooking at the hob is done in pairs. We recommend you bring some tupperware for taking home any leftovers. 

This class is suitable for all levels of experience, from seasoned chefs to total beginners. We are here to help you become more confident in your skills and learn new techniques to impress your family and friends.
