Next up on the 'Sunday Feasts' project at School of Wok is Asma Khan's super supper club, Darjeeling Express.
Cooking dishes that have been in her family for generations, Asma will be hosting a Nawabi/Mughal feast with her own modern twist.
After the welcome drink of nimbu pani (a sweet Indian limeade with fresh mint), there will be starters of momos (steamed dumplings), chicken kati rolls (flatbreads) and churmut chaat (a mix of potatoes, chickpeas and crisps with a sweet tamarind chutney).
The mains will be Bengali prawn malai curry, chicken chaap, Anglo-Indian lamb chops and Armenian pallau with fresh dill, all served with a choice of lentils, potatoes, breads and chutneys.
And if that wasn't enough, cinnamon kheer (a fragrant mix of rice, milk, sugar and spices) and fruit chaat (fresh fruits marinated in lime, salt and sugar) will be served for dessert.
"These recipes are too good to be eaten by just my family," Asma says.
So why not get yourself down to School of Wok HQ next Sunday for some food you won't forget. Check out the Edible Experiences website for info on how to book etc. Remember, its BYOB ('bring-your-own-booze').
