Sushi Rice Bowl
A delicious Sashimi rice bowl focused all around the incredible fresh wasabi!

Ingredients
For the Sushi Rice
- 450 g uncooked Japanese short-grain white rice
- 540 ml water (540 ml)
- 1½ tsp salt
- ½ Tbsp toasted white sesame seeds
- 4 Tbsp shredded nori seaweed
- 1 tbsp Shichimi
For the Sushi:
- 2 fresh prawns
- Sushi grade Salmon
Marinade:
- 2 fresh Yuzu
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
Method
Preparation
Devein and fillet the prawns. Slice the sushi. Squeeze the fresh yuzu into a bowl and add the sugar, mix well. Place the prawns into the yuzu juice and set aside.
Once the rice is ready, place it in a bowl and top with chopped nori, sesame seeds and shichimi.
Place two slices of salmon and a prawn on the rice. Mix soya sauce into the yuzu marinade and pour that over the sushi and prawns.
Lastly, peel and grate the fresh wasabi towards the middle of the root, and spoon over the seafood.
Cooking
Cook the sushi rice as per packet instructions.
