In this 3 hour Chinese Banquet cooking class, you will learn a variety of essential cooking techniques and skills while creating delicious dishes packed with flavour.
- Cutting, Slicing, and Chopping: Master the basics of using a Chinese cleaver to cut, slice, and chop ingredients effectively.
- Wok Cooking: Discover the art of wok cooking, including essential techniques like stir-frying, deep-frying, and steaming.
- Chinese Seasoning: Learn the fundamentals of Chinese seasoning, using ingredients like garlic, ginger, and sauces such as soy sauce and oyster sauce.
- Sauce Selection: Understand how to select and use the right sauces, such as black bean sauce and sweet and sour sauce, to enhance the flavours of your dishes.
These skills will enable you to create delicious Chinese dishes while developing a solid foundation in Chinese culinary techniques.
The class will be led by a Head Chef and Assistant Chef, and class sizes typically range from 6-12 students. All of our classes involve knife skills and our chefs can also answer other questions you may have around ingrendients or techniques. Each student has their own chopping board and prep space, but the cooking at the hob is done in pairs. We recommend you bring some tupperware for taking home any leftovers.
This class is suitable for all levels of experience, from seasoned chefs to total beginners. We are here to help you become more confident in your skills and learn new techniques to impress your family and friends.

- Crispy Pork Belly - Double-cooked tender yet crispy Pork Belly seasoned with traditional Chinese 5-spice
- Fujian Fried Rice- Crispy fried rice served with a delicious sweet and salty sauce with mixed seafood
- Sichuan Style Aubergine- Aubergine (eggplant) stir-fried in a spicy, sticky and sour sauce garnished with spring onion
- Yuk Sung in Lettuce Cups- Chinese sausage and mince marinated in a sweet and savoury sauce served in a crisp lettuce leaf and garnished with crushed cashew nuts

Get ready for an amazing 3-hour cooking experience that will unleash your inner chef! Our 3 hr classes are designed to give you a hands-on experience of 2 1/2 hours of cooking, followed by 30 minutes to enjoy your creations with a well-deserved glass of wine.

Our classes have up to 12 students with 1 Head Chef and 1 Assistant Chef, providing an intimate and personalised experience.
What is included?
We provide all ingredients and equipment, a welcome drink, soft drinks, tea, coffee, and a light lunch. After the class, enjoy your meal with wine or beer, and take any leftovers home.
