Guest Chef Cooking Classes 2026

Guest chef cooking classes give you the opportunity to learn a wide range of Asian dishes and cuisines that are taught directly by specialist chefs in the field. The guest chef programme regularly changes throughout the year, so get in touch with us to find out which guest chef will take our cooking classes imminently. 

Our guest chef cooking classes are led by specialist guest chefs who are highly trained and experienced in their cuisine. Past and future guest chef cooking classes include: Thai Cookery with Yui Miles, Chinese Masterclasses with Verna Gao, Chinese Takeaway with Chef Chin Taylor, Chinese Cookery with Kwoklyn Wan, Vietnamese Cooking with Thuy Hoang and Thai Cookery with Marni Xuto. The guest chef will change depending on the course you choose.

The Asian cuisines that are taught during our guest chef cooking classes will include Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and more. The cuisine you’ll learn about will depend on the guest chef taking the class at the time of booking. As such, the cuisines available via our guest chef cooking lessons will vary throughout the year.

No. You do not need previous cooking experience to attend a guest chef cooking class at School of Wok. All of our guest chefs have the experience needed to help and guide you through the class, imparting expert knowledge along the way. This makes our guest chef cooking classes suitable for everyone. 

The things you will learn during a guest chef cooking class at School of Wok will differ depending on the chef and the cuisine you have chosen. But generally, guest chef cooking classes will cover ingredient preparation, cooking techniques, seasoning, flavour combinations and food presentation. Our guest chefs will also impart specialist advice and knowledge in their field, so you can take that with you and apply it to home cooking. 

Our guest chef cooking classes last approximately 3 hours. 

Up to 12 people can attend our guest chef cooking classes in London. There will be a Head Chef and an Assistant Chef present to guide you through the process.

You can attend guest chef cooking classes in London here at School of Wok. We have a central London location that’s easily accessed via public transport. 

The following things are included in a guest chef cooking class at School of Wok: all ingredients, equipment and utensils. You’ll also be greeted with a welcome drink, with soft drinks, alcoholic drinks and hot drinks available to choose from. A light lunch is also included, where you’ll be able to enjoy your creation and take leftovers home with you. 

Yes. Food allergies will be catered for during guest chef cooking classes. Dietary requirements will be accommodated also. However, you must notify us of any allergies and dietary requirements when you make your booking. 

Yes. Our guest chef cooking classes will change throughout the year. Guest chef appearances are introduced regularly, with different chefs on hand specialising in different cuisines. Therefore, the selection of classes and menus will be subject to change.
