Born in Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City), Thuy Hoang moved to the UK as a refugee at the age of nine. Since then, her deep-rooted passion for the food and culture of Vietnam has remained at the heart of everything she does. In 2023, she became a Quarter Finalist on BBC1’s MasterChef, where the judges praised her cooking as “absolutely delightful,” and John Torode declared, “What you’ve made I think is wonderful. It’s great. It’s fresh.”
Thuy is a passionate advocate for outstanding food and drink producers, using her social media platforms to celebrate award-winning ingredients and artisanal craftsmanship.
