Ingredients
- 500g beef brisket
- 4 star anise
- 1 tsp five spice
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 5 tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped
- 1 ⅔ tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 large carrots
- 3 potatoes
- 1 litre chicken stock
- 1 small baguette

- 2 lemongrass stalks
- 1 red chilli
- 3 cm ginger
- 5 thai shallots
- 4 garlic cloves
