Vietnamese Grilled Pork Chop
From the streets of Vietnam, all the way to your back garden. These Vietnamese BBQ pork chops are a winner for your next barbecue!

Ingredients
Ingredients:
- 2 pork chops
The marinade:
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp Amoy light soy sauce
- 1 tsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp palm sugar
- 5 garlic cloves
- 1 stalk lemongrass
- 1 tsp five spice
- Pinch of salt
- ½ red onion (sliced.
For the glaze:
- 2 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 Tbsp Amoy light soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 1 Tbsp tamarind concentrate
- 2 tbsp water (or more to taste)
To serve:
- Steamed Rice - Green Dragon
Method
Preparation
Blend all the marinade ingredients together. In a mixing bowl put your pork chops, pour the marinade over, and refrigerate for 2 hours, or overnight.
For the glaze,mix ingredients on a medium heat in a wok.
Cooking
On a frying pan or griddle on high heat, cook the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side. Add the onions from the marinade to the glaze. Baste the chops with the glaze two or three times, as you finish the them off. Then place the onions on top and leave for 1 minute. Once fully cooked, set aside.
Rest for a few minutes before serving
