Join our 3-hour Understanding the Wok cooking class and learn the art of seasoning and stir-frying Chinese dishes to perfection. Led by our experienced Chefs, you will master the techniques of chopping with a traditional Chinese cleaver and wok-frying noodles to a crispy stir-fry.
- Knife Skills: You'll learn the basics of using a Chinese cleaver to cut, slice, and chop vegetables, meat, and other ingredients like a pro.
- Wok cooking: Our Head Chef will guide you through the nuances of wok cooking, including how to heat and season your wok, and how to stir-fry ingredients to achieve that coveted wok hei (smoky flavour).
- You'll discover the key basics of Chinese seasoning, including the types of oils, sauces, and spices used in Chinese cuisine, and how to use them to enhance the flavours of your dishes.
By the end of this 3 hour cooking class, you'll gain hands-on experience preparing and cooking authentic Chinese dishes, such as Jiao Zi, Stir-Fried Sichuan Chicken, Flash Fried Morning Glory, and Egg Fried Rice, and learn how to present them beautifully for your guests.
The class will be led by a Head Chef and Assistant Chef, and class sizes typically range from 6-12 students.
