Temaki Rolls

Simple and easy to make temaki rolls at home

Ingredients: For 4 Rolls
  • 40g fresh tuna (Sushi grade)

  • 40g fresh salmon (Sushi grade)

  • small handful thinly sliced vegetables (cucumber, avocado)

  • black and white sesame seeds

  • 1 Tbsp Mayo

  • 1 Tbsp sriracha Sauce

  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce

  • 10ml sesame oil

  • 4 Nori Sheet cut in half

  • 400g cooked and seasoned sushi rice (100g per roll)

  • Chop the fish into chunks. Place the tuna in a bowl and mix with the soy sauce and sesame oil. Place the salmon in a bowl with the mayo and sriracha, and mix.

  • Cut the nori sheet in half, then hold the nori sheet flat on your hand. Wet the other hand in water to stop the rice sticking to your hand. Take an egg sized handful of sushi rice, and gently spread onto one side of the nori. Put your fish and sliced veg on the sushi rice.

  • Start rolling: Fold the bottom corner to cover the rice and fillings, to the top centre of the nori, then roll to the end, using a grain of rice to stick the end together. It should look like an ice cream cone. Top with the sesame seeds, and enjoy!
