This week, we're a little obsessed with Spoonfed Suppers - a bit of a magic wand for anyone who struggles to come up with anything more inspirational than beans on toast for dinner. Webmaster Caroline Dean got the idea for the site when she was working in banking. Fed up with trying to plan her shopping and weekly meals around her long working hours, she started to wish for a foodie fairy godmother who would do all the leg work for her.
Then, POOF - abracadabra! The most computer-literate 50's housewife in the world came into existence, Mrs Candy Delaney, along with an impressive free website and email service.
So how does it work?
Candy sends you a shopping list every Friday, so you can hit the shops over the weekend. Then on Monday, ping! A little email of inspiration will pop up, describing a yummy seasonal recipe like Rosemary, Pumpkin and Chicken Pasta, Stuffed Aubergine and Courgette Rolls, or Winter Chicken and Vegetable Fajitas.
Even better, every meal is less than 550 calories and 10% saturated fat, and takes no longer than 30 minutes to make.
It's a complete no-brainer! If only we could find a website that does the washing up, we'd be well and truly sorted...
